WATCH: Lerato Kganyago reveals FOURTH miscarriage
Metro FM presenter Lerato Kganyago has opened up about experiencing yet another miscarriage.
Kganyago made the revelation in one of her Instagram stories. A clip has been doing the rounds on social media, in which she says she and her former Metro FM co-host Dineo Ranaka were both pregnant at the same time, but both decided to keep the news quiet.
“We were so excited that were pregnant at the same time, but she was just a few months ahead of me,” she said.
Earlier in July, Ranaka announced the birth of her baby. The pair hosted their mid-morning show The Bridge on the SABC radio station until it announced a new line up. Ranaka stayed on the show while Kganyago hosted the station’s lunchtime programme.

“I was pregnant. I’m sure you guys saw that I was really big … then I had a miscarriage. Yes, I had a miscarriage this year again, it was my fourth miscarriage,” she revealed. The renowned club DJ said she was more than 12 weeks pregnant when she lost her child.
“I think I was three-four months pregnant but unfortunately I lost my baba … life goes on. This is something that I didn’t want to discuss but since we’re having [an] honesty night … I was looking forward to this pregnancy, I thought this time around that I had made it through because I had been trying so hard for a while,”

Kganyago suffers from a medical condition called fibroids and has been open about her difficulty to have children.
When she appeared on Anele Mdoda’s show Real Talk with Anele in 2017, she revealed that she had suffered two miscarriages.
“I have actually lost two children. I have only spoken about the (most recent) one because it was the one that affected me the most. That was when I really wanted to have a child,” she said.
