Percy Tau will miss the trip to Old Trafford as he is quarantining for 10 days after returning from international duty where he was part of Bafana Bafana’s 1-1 draw with Ghana in which he scored South Africa’s goal, as well as the 2-0 defeat to Sudan.

Brighton manager Graham Potter said Percy Tau really wanted to represent his national side and knew full-well what was going to happen when he returned to England.

“He was very keen to go and it was important opportunity for him. He felt it was important for him to get some game time,” Potter said, as per the club’s Twitter account.

“When we weighed it up we knew the negative of the quarantine but at the same time we have helped him to play for his country.

“He’s a fit lad and we can help him while he is quarantining. We just have to adapt to not having him for ten days.”
