Dates confirmed for Bafana Bafana’s 2022 Soccer World Cup qualifiers
Bafana Bafana – currently without a coach – will play their first 2022 Soccer World Cup qualification match in exactly nine weeks.

Bafana Bafana have been drawn in Group G for the qualifiers alongside Ghana, Zimbabwe and Ethiopia.
Only the group winners will progress to the next round which will see those 10 winners drawn in head-to-head matches with each other to determine the five Africa representatives for the Soccer World Cup finals to be held in Qatar.
Bafana Bafana, who fired coach Molefi Ntseki last week after failing to lead the country to the delayed 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to be held in Cameroon, will open their campaign against neighbours Zimbabwe on the weekend of 5-8 June away from home.

They will then host group favourites Ghana the weekend thereafter (11-14 June).
Bafana Bafana will then travel to Ethiopia in the first week in September and then host their Ethiopian foes the weekend after in match day 4.
South Africa will then host Zimbabwe from 6-9 October and round off the qualifiers away to Ghana on 10-12 October.
The exact dates for the matches as well as the venues and kick-off times will be confirmed in due course.
