A spokesperson for World Rugby reportedly told Netwerk24 that there was no set time for when the verdicts of the hearings will be made public.

SA Rugby and its director of rugby Erasmus were both in the dock last Saturday and Sunday.

The hearings were chaired by independent judicial panel chairperson Christopher Quinlan QC, with New Zealand’s Nigel Hampton QC and Judge Mike Mika also part of the panel.

The hearings resulted after World Rugby formally charged SA Rugby and Erasmus after the latter complied a sensational 62-minute video in which he detailed several errors – in his opinion – made by the governing body’s match officials.

Rassie Erasmus particularly focused on the officiating of Australian referee Nic Berry in the Springboks’ first Test against the British & Irish Lions.

The Springboks lost that Test at the Cape Town Stadium.

Erasmus, meanwhile, is back in the Springbok camp this week as they prepare for the first of three Tests on their end-of-year tour against Wales in Cardiff on Saturday, 6 November.

Erasmus will NOT continue in his controversial role of “water boy” as he did in the British & Irish Lions series, but will instead be in the coaches’ box alongside head coach Jacques Nienaber.
