‘All I see is teagirls for Malema’: Ntsiki on female ‘leaders’ in the EFF

As we get closer to the municipal elections on 1 November, controversial poet Ntsiki Mazwai shared her opinion on female leaders in the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) political party via a tweet on 29 October.

NTSIKI: ‘ALL I SEE IS TEAGIRLS FOR MALEMA’

Ntsiki Mazwai, who has never shied away from her strong opinions, has taken an aim at the EFF leader’s Julius Malema. Ntsiki is no stranger to trending on Twitter and she did again on 29 October after saying that the EFF is dead without Malema.

“Eff is dead without Malema,” she wrote in a tweet.

She then took another dig at the politician saying that the female leaders in his party are just “teagirls” for him.

“Yes eff has women… But does it have female leaders?????. All I see is teagirls for Malema,” she wrote in another tweet.

TWEEPS SIDE WITH NTSIKI

Tweeps sided with the poet, saying that women are tokenised in politics.

“Women are extremely tokenised in politics, there’s hardly party in this country that is an exception. They’re just advertised for the “inclusivity” and that false sense of ‘progress’. When we still live in a country where violence towards women is still one of world’s highest,” wrote a Tweep.

“Malema has followers… Not leaders. They all follow blindly and do everything he says,” wrote another Tweep.

However, some thought Ntsiki was looking for attention.

“This is what you write when you want attention,” wrote the Tweep.

NTSIKI’S UNAPOLOGETIC OPINIONS ON POLITICS

As the 2021 municipal elections draw closer, the poet has been vocal on Twitter. After singer Makhadzi tweeted a picture sporting the ANC colours, she wrote an open letter to her.

In the letter she said that aligning yourself politically will not end well with either of the politician parties.

“None of these parties are worth you prostituting yourself for their campaigns. If it had been EFF you would have gotten backlash from the feminists, as there is certainly a GBV apologist stink in that party. And DA would separate you from your people,” wrote Ntsiki in a Facebook post.
