FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:

  1. Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the central and eastern parts of the Northern Cape, the western parts of both the Free State and North-West province as well as the Joe Gqabi District Municipality of the Eastern Cape.

Gauteng:

Temperature: Fine in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Fine and warm but hot in the Lowveld.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Fine and warm to hot, becoming partly cloudy in the northeast.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Fine at first, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot.

Free State:

Temperature: Fine and warm to hot, becoming partly cloudy by the afternoon.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Morning fog along the coast where it will be cool, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot. It will be fine in the east at first.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly becoming strong in the afternoon.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Fine and cool but warm over the eastern interior, becoming partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated to scattered showers along the south coast and its adjacent interior

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to southwesterly.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half Temperature: Fine to partly cloudy and warm, but cloudy and cool along the coast with rain from the west in the afternoon, spreading to the adjacent interior in the evening.

The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh easterly in the east at first, otherwise moderate to fresh southwesterly, becoming fresh to strong in the afternoon.

The Eastern half Temperature: Fine and warm to hot but very hot in places in the east. It will become cloudy south of the escarpment in the evening with light rain in the southwest.

The Eastern half Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong northeasterly, becoming southwesterly from the south in the afternoon.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Fine and warm but hot to very hot in the west.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh easterly to north-easterly, becoming fresh to strong south-westerly in the south from the evening.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.
