Sipho Mbule could be unveiled by Kaizer Chiefs as early as FRIDAY!

Another day, yet another ‘Sipho Mbule to Kaizer Chiefs‘ update – and it’s another positive one as the move edges closer.

Mbule’s departure from SuperSport United is looking increasingly imminent by the day and it appears that it’s Amakhosi who have finally won the race for his signature.

Chiefs seem to have beaten Sundowns to Mbule deal

Chiefs were said to be in a direct battle with SuperSport’s crosstown rivals Mamelodi Sundowns in an intense combat for Mbule’s signing with various reports over the last three months even going as far as stating that the Brazilians had stolen a march on the Glamour Boys and labelling them favourites to land his services.

However, it now doesn’t look like Mbule’s next destination will be Chloorkop, with increasing reports that Sundowns have lost out to Chiefs for his services.

Reports on the mercurial midfielder’s future started picking last week and earlier on this week, with developments quickly emerging that there was finally progress on what was expected to be one the biggest moves of the South African transfer window.

Chiefs are thought to have acted quickly

After the rumour had gone quiet on the move involving Mbule, a report came out claiming that Chiefs had tabled a proposal to Supersport and a board delegation led by CEO Stan Matthews was studying the proposal with all initial signs looking positive. The report went further to claim that the player himself was “keen” to move to Naturena ahead of the next season.

Pivotal week ahead

An update issued earlier this week then stated that this week was the week that Chiefs would find out if their proposal to sign Mbule was good enough to convince Supersport to part with one of their most prized assets. Additionally it was stated that there were a couple of hiccups that had arisen during the negotiations last week, including a potentially bigger offer from another team.

However, there remained an air of positivity which seems to have been vindicated by African football expert Nuhu Adams from Ghana who tweeted that Mbule had signed for Chiefs and that he would be announced on Friday at the latest.

If these news proves to be true then Mbule’s signing would no doubt be another huge statement of intent by Chiefs following the signing of Bafana Bafana winger Keagan Dolly.

A skilful player who can get the supporters off their seats with excitement is has always been synonymous with the Amakhosi and Mbule would certainly fit the bill.
