Tanzanian giants Young Africans SC are believed to have landed in South Africa with a delegation from the club intent on stepping up negotiations for Kaizer Chiefs striker Lazarous Kambole.

The Zambian international forward arrived in the country amid much fanfare from his homeland having established himself as one of the most lethal marksmen in his native country.
Kambole would’ve even had a “face to face” audition to impress the Kaizer Chiefs management when he starred in Zesco United’s two-legged thrashing of his current side in the CAF Confederations Cup three seasons ago now.
Kambole comments have come back to haunt him
Despite making some bold statements upon his arrival, those statements seem to have only served to haunt him. This is due to the fact that he has failed to live up to expectations, falling short of replicating his Zesco form at Chiefs. That has since made him the laughing stock of many a rival supporter. Kambole has just the solitary goal to his name in his 39 appearances in the colours of Amakhosi.
He has failed to live up to expectations at Chiefs
Kambole went through the entirety of the recent season without a single goal for Kaizer Chiefs, and that statistic might just be reason enough to decide to part ways with striker this coming window. Kickoff claim that one of the club’s directors Hersi Ally Said flew into the country from the DRC, with the sole purpose of negotiating the transfer with Chiefs, and reaching an agreement before he leaves.
Young Africans dignitary in the country
“The Engineer has already flown to South Africa, specifically for the Kambole deal which, if all goes right, should be sealed by the time he comes back to Tanzania,” said a source.

“Plenty of the preliminary talks have already been done and it is now a matter of trying to seal the deal. What Kambole is on at Chiefs is not too far from what Yanga can afford, so it is all a matter of negotiations.
“Kambole needs the game time as well and, based on how he has done at Chiefs, there won’t be much interest in him from the PSL,” he continued.
This move would come as surprise to many with Kambole himself declared he would stay at Chiefs and fight for his place in the right position earlier this week.
