ADVISORIES:

  1. Wet, windy and cold conditions are expected in the eastern parts of the Free State from from late evening, which could lead to loss of livestock and crops.
  2. Light snow is expected along the Northern parts of the Lesotho Border in the Free State from late evening as well as the southern Drakensberg and Lesotho mountains.

Gauteng:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and cool.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Cloudy in the east with morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cold to cool but warm in the Lowveld.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Cloudy in the east with morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cool.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Fine and cool, becoming partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers in the south.

Free State:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and cool to cold with isolated showers and thundershowers. Light snow may be possible along the northern Lesotho border.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Fine in the north, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to cold with isolated showers and thundershowers in the extreme east.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Cloudy and cool in the west and south-west with light rain, otherwise partly cloudy becoming cloudy and cool. Showers are expected along the south coast and southern parts of the eastern interior from the afternoon.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate south-westerly.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Low.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half Temperature: Fine and cool but cold in the north-east, becoming cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers from evening.

The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly.

The Eastern half Temperature: Fine and cool but cold in the north becoming cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers. Light snowfalls can be expected in the southern Drankensberg areas at night.

The Eastern half Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north-easterly becoming south westerly along the sunshine cost from late afternoon.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and cool with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate south-easterly at first, otherwise easterly north-easterly from the south in the afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Low.
