Tembo admits Mbule transfer speculation has annoyed him

Now Chiefs’ reported efforts to try and destabilise SuperSport’s plans in the regard of Mbule have left Tembo “annoyed” according to The Citizen. Speaking to the publication Tembo alluded to the fact that his players being linked to the traditionally “bigger” clubs in the country was nothing new and it was rather testament to the type of players the club is able to produce.

Also feels it’s a compliment to the club

“It also shows the quality that we have if most of the clubs are always looking to get players from, at the same time it is also difficult for the young players because that can also destabilise them and derail their progress because if you hear about big teams being mentioned alongside your name, it might also destruct him on the primary thing which is playing football,” he said.

Tembo also went as far as explaining that the club also feels obligated to ensure that the increased interest in their stars doesn’t serve as a distraction to them and that they’re able to remain level headed

“As a club, we have to try and make sure that they are level headed and they keep their feet on the ground because in this industry you are always as good as your last game. One minute people want you because you are playing well and the moment you are no longer performing they shift focus and go somewhere else. Consistency is very key, that is what I have been preaching to my youngsters.”

Apart from Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns have also been rumoured to have registered a strong interest in the 23-year-old. Some reports have even gone as far as stating that they have beaten Chiefs to Mbule’s services.
