Kaizer Chiefs transfer news | Is Kambole’s time up at Amakhosi?
Kaizer Chiefs striker Lazarous Kambole is reportedly set to be shown the exit door by the Soweto giants at the end of the current season.
According to KickOff, Chiefs will be releasing Kambole for two reasons.

Firstly, the Amakhosi management and technical team feel Kambole hasn’t given the club anything since his arrival in 2019.
In addition, Chiefs want to free-up their foreign quota as they are eyeing a few international players to bolster their squad for the new campaign.

Kambole’s has had a frustrating two seasons at Naturena where he has found the back of the net just once since his arrival from Zambian giants ZESCO United.
His lone strike came last season where he made 17 appearances across all competitions for the Soweto giants – this was when Chiefs drew 1-1 with Stellenbosch.

This season, the 27-year-old attacker has managed to feature in 22 competitive matches for Chiefs, including nine appearances in the CAF Champions League but he’s yet to put the ball into the back of the net.
When Chiefs signed Kambole from ZESCO, the aim was to ease the team’s goal scoring woes as he was one of Africa’s most-talked about strikers.
However, this hasn’t been the case for two seasons now as Kambole appears to be struggling week in and week out.

And while Gavin Hunt has been modest when asked about Kambole’s contribution throughout the season, his comments could be seen as an attempt to try and not demoralize the player given the problems Chiefs are facing.
Kambole’s current contract with Chiefs is only coming to an end in June 2022.
