Kaizer Chiefs latest | Who will start in goal against TTM?
Kaizer Chiefs coach Gavin Hunt has a big goalkeeping decision to make ahead of Tuesday’s encounter against Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM).
Kick-off at the Peter Mokaba Stadium is at 5PM.

The Chiefs medical team reported on Monday that Itumeleng Khune is nursing a shoulder injury while Daniel Akpeyi suffered light concussion in the previous encounter against Bloemfontein Celtic.
Khune is definitely out of the matchday squad but it’s unclear if Akpeyi has travelled to Polokwane with the rest of the Chiefs team.
However, Hunt must decide whether or not it would be wise to start an unfit Akpeyi against TTM.

Akpeyi is the only experienced and most trusted goalkeeper available with Khune out, and that means Hunt could be forced to play Bruce Bvuma.
Bvuma hasn’t played since Hunt took over at the start of the season, and he may lack the required match fitness and confidence.
Bvuma, 25, is a third-choice goalkeeper after Khune and Akpeyi, and there is Brylon Petersen who’s yet to make his debut for Chiefs but has been on the bench on a number of occasions.

IF Akpeyi is unavailable then Bvuma will definitely be in goal against TTM with Petersen on the bench.
And that doesn’t make things any easier for Hunt who is under immense pressure to get Chiefs into the top-eight bracket as he doesn’t know if Bvuma would be able to carry the team.
To make matters worse, both Daniel Cardoso and Erick Mathoho are unavailable due to injury and suspension respectively to marshal the defence and protect Bvuma.

And this means, there will be a new centre-back pairing for Chiefs on the day – Ramahlwe Mphahlele could be brought back into the team to lead the defence.
Nonetheless, the show must go on with or without two of Hunt’s most trusted goalkeepers.
