Who’d you rather have for president: Will Smith or ‘The Rock’?
American actor Will Smith, 52, has joked about stepping into politics in the past. And he now says he absolutely would consider a run for office in future.
Smith told Jon Favreau on Crooked Media’s Pod Save America podcast: “I think for now I’ll let that office get cleaned up a little bit and then I’ll consider that at some point down the line.
“I don’t know, it’s like, I absolutely have an opinion, I’m optimistic, I’m hopeful, I believe in understanding between people and I believe in the possibility of harmony. So, I will certainly do my part, whether it remains artistic or, or, at some point ventures into the political arena.”
Will Smith catches up with Trevor Noah
Will Smith is already known as a big campaigner for serious issues that affect Americans. He is currently hosting a star-studded new Netflix docu-series that looks at the importance and legacy of a US amendment that calls for equality and freedom.
Smith spoke to Trevor Noah on 28 February about the new series, Amend: The Fight for America, and the future of social justice in America.

Could Will Smith and ‘The Rock’ both enter politics?
Will Smith’s comments come after fellow Hollywood star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson admitted he was open to the idea of running for US president.
In February the actor, 48, said: “I would consider a presidential run in the future if that’s what the people wanted.
“Truly I mean that, and I’m not flippant in any way with my answer. That would be up to the people … So I would wait, and I would listen.”
Wave of support for ‘The Rock’
Johnson previously suggested he could challenge the now-defeated Donald Trump for the US presidency in 2020. And the action star confessed to being wowed by the support from fans.
“I think it’s because, you know, a lot of people want to see a different leadership today. I’m sorry, not different, but better leadership today, right?”
Dwayne Johnson as a ‘poised’ president
Asked what personal qualities made him suitable for the role, the Baywatch star replied: “I think more poised, less noise.
“And I also think that over the years I’ve become a guy that a lot of people kind of relate to: Get up early in the morning at a ridiculous hour, go to work and spend time with the troops, take care of my family.
“I love taking care of people. And I think that kind of thing really resonates with people, especially today.”
‘The Rock’ and Will Smith’s other projects
Will Smith has several films in the pipeline, as well as upcoming show Bel-Air. This one is based on Smith’s career-making sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
The NBC sitcom Young Rock, on the other hand, is based on the real-life story of how Dwayne Johnson became a wrestling icon and a successful movie star, husband and father. Johnson recently also released an energy drink called Zoa.
