Percy Tau falls short in AFCON list of leading goalscorers

Bafana Bafana’s Percy Tau will finish tied for second (at best) in the list of leading goalscorers in the qualifying rounds of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Tau, who now plays his football for English Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion, found the back of the net on four occasions in Bafana Bafana’s six matches.

Bafana Bafana scored eight goals in total with Tau responsible for exactly half of those.

Zambia’s Patson Daka leads the way with five goals.

Ultimately, Bafana Bafana fell short in their quest to qualify for the finals to be held in Cameroon in early 2022.
