New music show alert: Nadia Nakai to present ‘Gen Z South Africa’
Nadia Nakai Kandava has scored herself an enviable presenting gig on the new show. Gen Z South Africa will air at 18:00 on Thursday 4 March on Channel O.
FIRST LOOK AT ‘GEN Z SOUTH AFRICA’
Gen Z South Africa is a lifestyle, music and entertainment show targeted at the youth. The Naaa Meeaan hitmaker took to social media to announce the news that she would present the show alongside President Thato.

On 1 March, the rapper gave her more than 600,000 Twitter followers and 2.1 million Instagram followers a first look at behind-the-scenes shots of her presenting the show with what looks like a script in her hand.
Nadia Nakai is signed to hip-hop giant Cassper Nyovest’s label Family Tree Records.
FANS REACT TO NADIA NAKAI’S NEWS
Before confirming that the new show was Gen Z South Africa, Nadia Nakai dropped subtle hints on her social media pages. A week ago, when posting a picture of herself, she added this caption:
“I find myself getting rid of my Kicks for glam a lot more lately… If I can’t be on stage, you’ll have to find me on TV… .”
It all makes sense now and fans are here for it. Many took to Twitter to show the rapper love on her new gig.
NADIA NAKAI IS CHANNEL O ROYALTY
Aside from the new show she is joining, the singer who is commonly referred to as “Bragga”, is a familiar face on Channel O.
She had her own music talk-show, The Naked Room, which aired on the channel from on 25 November 2020. The eight-episode show included interviews and performances from artists who “shift the culture”.
