Kaizer Chiefs target Goodman Mosele won’t force a move

Baroka FC midfielder Goodman Mosele has reaffirmed his loyalty to the Limpopo club despite being continuously linked with Kaizer Chiefs.

Mosele has been making a name for himself at Bakgaga, since breaking into the first team as a teenager but recently he came onto the radar of the Soweto Giants.

Kaizer Chiefs target won’t go unless club wants to sell

Kaizer Chiefs have suggested they are tracking Mosele, but the player himself says that Amakhosi have not contacted him personally or reached out to his agent.

Mosele suggested that even if they did, he would only leave Baroka FC with the blessing of chairman Kurishi Mphahlele.

“I take this (the interest) as a motivation because I have been seeing that Kaizer Chiefs want Goodman, but nobody has approached me and told me that Chiefs want me, you see? The chairman (Khurishi Mphahlele) is the person that I speak to and he’s the one that will know if Chiefs want me,” Mosele told Soccer Laduma.

“So, I take it as a motivation. I don’t allow it to get to my head though. I don’t allow it to distract me mentally. All that it means is that I have to work even more, but that doesn’t disturb me.

“You know, I’m very loyal to the chairman. So, if he says I’m staying, I will stay, because I am who I am today because of that chairman. He’s the same guy who signed me from nowhere, so everything in (my) life involves the chairman and he’s the one who will decide what to do.”

Mosele committed to Baroka FC

Mosele has also been linked with a move to Mamelodi Sundowns, which suggests he is a player with great prospects but he doesn’t want to get caught with his feet off the ground.

“For now, I am a Baroka player and I enjoy playing here. I wouldn’t even mind staying here because that guy has done so much in my life and I believe I have to pay him back. That guy took me to school, he did everything for me, for my family. Ever since I was a child, that guy has been like a father to me. I’m not exaggerating or something, he’s been a good person to me. I believe that I am one of the older players at Baroka, because he has been supporting me for so long, taking care of me and my family,” Mosele added.
