Deon Hotto signed for the Buccaneers in September last year and has since established himself as a regular starter under coach Josef Zinnbauer.

The Namibian has scored four goals and made three assists in 21 DStv Premiership games this campaign and Nauseb reckons his work rate has a lot to do with his success.

“He is playing very well for Pirates, the player with the most assists in the league, his confidence is very high at this stage,” Nauseb told Kickoff.

“It’s because of his work rate. He is a hardworking player on and off the ball, and knowing there are other good players waiting in the wings, that is also good.

“So the boy works very hard and on top of it he is very disciplined off the field. He is currently two of the best players in Namibia [together with] Peter [Shalulile] from Mamelodi Sundowns.”

He added: “Stay humble as you are and keep working hard. If there was no pressure they wouldn’t have been there, but it’s because of pressure they have been doing well. Keep on working hard.”
