IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:

  1. Yellow level 4 warning for Disruptive Rain leading to localized flooding of roads, low lying bridges and poor driving conditions is expected over the central parts of Limpopo and Mpumalanga as well as the northern parts of KwaZulu-Natal until Monday.
  2. Orange level 9 warning for Disruptive Rain leading to widespread flooding and damages to roads, bridges, informal and formal settlements, danger to lives due to fast flowing streams, very poor driving conditions communities not accessible or cut off, widespread disruption to transport routes and travel services along the escarpment and eastern parts of Limpopo, the eastern Highveld, escarpment and Lowveld of Mpumalanga and the north-eastern parts of KwaZulu-Natal until Monday.

Gauteng:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm, becoming cloudy and windy with scattered showers and thundershowers from the afternoon

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Cloudy, windy and cool to warm with widespread showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the west.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Cloudy, windy and cool to warm with showers and thundershowers but widespread to scattered in the extreme west.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Fine and warm to hot, becoming partly cloudy with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the north-east.

Free State:

Temperature: Fine and warm to hot, becoming partly cloudy with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the extreme east.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm to hot, with isolated showers and thundershowers in the east. It will be very hot in the north.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south-easterly.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Fine and warm to hot in the north-west, otherwise partly cloudy and warm but cloudy over the southern parts with isolated
showers along the south coast.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south-easterly but moderate to fresh easterly to south-easterly along the south coast.

Eastern Cape:

The Western halfTemperature: Cloudy and cool with isolated showers and rain but afternoon thundershowers in the north.

The Western Half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh south-westerly at first, becoming moderate south-easterly by afternoon.

The Eastern halfTemperature: Cloudy and cool with scattered showers but thundershowers in the afternoon.

The Eastern halfWind: The wind along the coast will be strong south-westerly at first, becoming moderate southerly in the afternoon, but south-easterly by evening.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm but cool in the south-west, becoming cloudy with scattered afternoon showers and thundershowers but widespread in the north.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate easterly to north-easterly north of St Lucia at first, otherwise fresh to strong southerly to south-westerly..
