The 2019 Rugby World Cup winners will complete their national Victory Parade in the Mother City today. Captain Siya Kolisis and his men began their tour in Gauteng, before heading to Durban, East London and Port Elizabeth. The Springboks will be welcomed in Cape Town today, with the parade starting outside Town Hall. Zuma out of hospital as State Capture Commission delay sticks
Former President Jacob Zuma, who was due to reappear before the Commission of Inquiry into State Capture today, has thanked his supporters for their well wishes after being released from hospital over the weekend. Zuma said:“Thank you all for the well wishes. Your messages have been overwhelming during this difficult time.”This ‘difficult time, compounded by Zuma’s ill-health, has been exemplified by numerous courtroom losses, the most recent of which involved former cabinet member Derek Hanekom. Last week, the Pietermaritzburg high court ruled in Hanekom’s favour, ordering Zuma to apologise for defamatory remarks.
Last month, Zuma suffered a massive legal blow when the courts dismissed his application for a permanent stay of prosecution, with costs. This effectively means that Zuma will stand trial on corruption charges relating to the infamous Arms Deal saga.
It is not yet known when the former president will return to the Commission of Inquiry into State Capture.

This coming weekend, the DA will elect an interim leader who will govern until the party’s annual conference in April 2020. Three members are vying for the position; Steenhuisen, Bonginkosi Madikizela and Makashule Gana.

Bosch and Willemse’s 10 ambitions could pave the way for Fassi’s ascension
Curwin Bosch and Damian Willemse are among South Africa’s most talented backline players but their desire to play flyhalf could pave the way for the Sharks Aphelele Fassi to ascend to the Springbok setup. The coaches of the Sharks and Stormers have made it clear that Bosch and Willemse will largely be used as number 10s in Super Rugby.
The Boks are likely to be looking for a successor to Willie le Roux as first-choice fullback. Le Roux is just 30 but is based in Japan and will be 34 by the time of the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France.
The Sharks possess another very exciting rugby talent in Fassi, who can play of the wing or at fullback.
