‘Guptas gave him lots of cash’: Gigaba’s ex, Norma Mngoma, in tell-all TV interview
You’ve got the rest of the day to line up some popcorn and clear your schedule for 18:00 this evening. That’s because Norma Mngoma, the former wife of Malusi Gigaba, is sitting down for a tell-all interview with eNCA about the pair’s tumultuous marriage – which came to an end this year – and their relationship with the Guptas.
Who is Norma Mngoma? Gigaba’s ex-wife spills the tea
Norma Mngoma was arrested in July for alleged domestic violence, assault, malicious damage to property, and crimen injuria. This is after she damaged a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon, which was being driven by her husband – but owned by a friend, North West businessman Thapelo Tshephe.
Her arrest was highly controversial, after the Hawks put cuffs on Mngoma for what was essentially a domestic dispute. The law enforcement body claimed that Gigaba’s estranged lover was involved in a ‘conspiracy to murder’ the politician, but this is something Norma and her legal team flatly reject.
Gigaba accused of receiving Guptas’ cash
It now seems that revenge is a dish best served on national TV. The high-profile figure was often a source of media interest during Gigaba’s time in office, due to her penchant for outlandish statements and contentious claims. Norma Mngoma is a lightning rod for drama, and in a preview of this interview, she’s already made one very bold statement:
“I found him there with the Guptas. They used to give him a lot of money…”
