GROBLER LIES SECOND OVERALL IN THE SCORING LIST
Bradley Grobler currently lies second in Matsatsantsa’s rich history, having netted 55 times for the club since arriving in January 2013.
It has taken 32-year-old Grobler just under 200 matches across all competitions to reach the milestone, having overtaken former New Zealand team-mate Jeremy Brockie after scoring twice in their 3-1 win over Baroka FC last Saturday.
Brockie, who joining SuperSport United in January 2015, found the back of the net 54 times prior to his move to Mamelodi Sundowns in January 2018.
Grobler is now just three goals away from breaking Matsatsantsa’s overall record, which is held by the late Abram ‘Fire’ Raselemane.

Raselemane holds the record after scoring 57 goals in just 135 appearances during his time with the club from 2001 until 2006, when he left to join Bidvest Wits.
Sadly, the former Bafana Bafana striker died in 2008 from an apparent suicide at the age of 30.
Raselemane played 15 matches for Bafana Bafana.
Having already scored eight goals in 10 matches this season alone, Grobler is expected to surpass the more-than-14-year-old record early in 2021.
NEXT MATCH IS ON JANUARY 6
SuperSport United’s next assignment is a DStv Premiership home match at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium against Chippa United on Wednesday, January 6.
Kick-off is at 19:00.
SuperSport United head into the festive season break in third place in the standings having played one fewer match than the majority of their opponents.
