Bidvest Wits vs Kaizer Chiefs: PSL preview and kick-off time
Top of Sunday afternoon’s PSL action is the potentially title-defining clash between Bidvest Wits and Kaizer Chiefs at FNB Stadium.
The fixture sees the table-topping Amakhosi return what’s usually their home base as visitors, with the Clever Boys – currently in fifth place and still within a mathematical shot at the title – taking up residence there for the remainder of the season.
Bidvest Wits vs Kaizer Chiefs: Previous PSL meetings
The fixture is the second meeting between these two sides after the PSL restart, having locked horns during the first week of the resumption of action.
That particular fixture ended in a stalemate, with Samir Nurkovic finding the net for Kaizer Chiefs before Bidvest Wits cancelled his effort through Cole Alexander in the dying stages of the contest.
In terms of overall head-to-head results, it’s been Amakhosi who have been the dominant side historically, winning 10 out of the last 21 clashes between these two sides, while the Clever Boys have only four victories to show in this period, with most coming in the last five seasons.

Team news
Chiefs come into the fixture reeling from a costly defeat, which closed up the gap between them and their last opponents, Mamelodi Sundowns at the top of the standings.
The result between the top two teams ensured that they are only separated by goal difference going into the final week of the current PSL season.
The Soweto giants also suffered a big blow in terms of playing personnel, with striker Leonardo Castro ruled out for the remainder of the season.
This means that they will need some big performances from their key players, most notably Khama Billiat, who has been deserted by form throughout the season.
Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp has, however, come in defence of the Zimbabwean international, who last found the net in September last year.
“I can tell you only that as long as a player is willing and as long as a player has an ambition to everything that is possible to his abilities currently, they get all the support from my side,” Middendorp told the media ahead of the game.

For Bidvest Wits, it’s a last hurrah before the club relinquishes its PSL status, and they will be looking to go out on a high.
The Students come off a draw against Bloemfontein Celtic, and will aim to get back to winning ways and disrupt their opponents’ title charge.
