For those savoury cravings: Cheese and chive scones
Perfect warmed up for a breakfast, or tea-time snack, these little beauties will become a staple in your house and they are super easy to make. The are full of flavour, perfect crunchy exterior and soft fluffy interior with all the cheese and chive goodness you are after.
My family love their sweet treat and weekends are all about baking in our household. We have adapted our plain simple scone recipe to make a tasty savoury favorite we make at least twice a month. I can’t promise you wont make them more often.
Lets have a look at the magic ingredients to make these little scones:
- Flour: The base of these beauties
- Baking powder: to make these bad boys rise
- Garlic: Flavours we love and what says Italian cuisine more than garlic
- Salt: Seasoning
- Milk: Combines the mixture together
- Mayo: The secret ingredient
- Cheese: Cheddar is best as it’s full of cheesy flavor
- Chives: It’s the added extra that gives your scones a bit of attitude.
