Sydney Sevens
The Blitzboks have gone off to the perfect start in Sydney, winning all of their pool matches. Having won both their fixtures on Saturday, the men in green qualified for the quaterfinals, and sealed the deal on Sunday morning by thumping Samoa in their final pool match. After beating hosts, Australia and the USA in the quarterfinals and semis respectively, they now away the winner between Fiji and England in the final.
Premier Soccer League
AmaZulu vs Polokwane City at King Zwelithini Stadium, Kick-off at 15:30
PSL strugglers AmaZulu and Polokwane City both occupy the relegation zone, and will want to use one another to claw their way out. The two sides meet at King Zwelithini Stadium, where the hosts will look to climb up from the foot of the table, leaving the 15th place Limpopo outfit there.
Black Leopards vs Stellenbosch FC at Thohoyandou Stadium, Kick-off at 15:30
The day’s other PSL fixture features another relegation candidate in Black Leopards, who are equal on points with the bottom two clubs. Lidoda Duvha face Stellenbosch FC, who are a team on the up after three straight victories.
One Day Cup
Cape Cobras vs Warriors at Oudtshoorn, starts at 10:00
The first round of the 2020 edition of the One Day Cup concludes on Sunday with the Cobras taking on the Warriors at Oudshoorn. The hosts’ squad boast the likes of Pieter Malan, Zubayr Hamza and Dane Paterson, who have just returned from a stint with the Proteas, while the Warriors have a few rising stars in their ranks, such as Matthew Breetzke and Sinethemba Qeshile.
