Cavin Johnson is still chasing his first point as Black Leopards coach and now faces a difficult visit to Bloemfontein Celtic at the Dr. Petrus Molemela Stadium.
Leopards went down 2-1 to Chippa United in their last game despite Lesedi Kapinga’s goal. Although Kapinga has been a beacon of hope this season, Lidoda Duvha cannot afford to rely on him as speculation over his future swirls.
“There are many clubs that we are talking to. I mean we are also talking to Leopards because they want to retain Kapinga,” Kapinga’s agent, Moses Mudau, told Isolezwe.
“However, I must make it clear that there is no club that we are close to concluding a deal with. I want to refute those reports because that will make his situation a bit awkward at Leopards.”
For the time being, Johnson will be hoping for another top performance from his star asset.
Bloemfontein Celtic beat Stellenbosch 2-1 away in their last game and will relish being back on home soil, but Phunya Sele Sele can at times be inconsistent at the back and will be looking to tighten up.
