Ex Orlando Pirates captain to be sacked by GAC club?

Former Bafana Bafana, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns star Oupa Manyisa’s struggles look set to continue.

The diminutive midfielder is rumoured to be offloaded by GladAfrica Championship newcomers Platinum City Rovers.

The former Orlando Pirates star joined the newly promoted GladAfrica Championship side with much expectancy however things have not gone according to plan.

Manyisa has been subjected to cameo performances off the bench for City who currently sit in 9th position on the GladAfrica Championship log standings.

Ex Orlando Pirates captain’s struggles continue

According to a source at the club, Manyisa has failed to impress the owners and is set to be axed by the club during the upcoming Christmas break.

“His situation is not good and I don’t think he will be back with the club after the Christmas break. I have heard that the bosses are not happy,” a source told Phakaaathi regarding the former Orlando Pirates star.

“Manyisa signed for the GladAfrica Championship new-boys at the beginning of the season with much fanfare. But he has not made much of an impact and now the club are considering offloading him.” the publication added.

After leaving Orlando Pirates in 2017, Oupa Manyisa spent three injury plagued years at Mamelodi Sundowns.

He then joined Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila but left before he could even make his debut. He later joined Chippa United but only made three appearances before leaving the club.
