FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:

  1. Extreme high fire danger expected over the Khai-Ma, Nama Khoi, Kamiesberg, Kai !Garib, Dawid Kruiper Local Municipalities of the Northern Cape, Kagisano-Molopo Local Municipality in the far western parts of the North-West as well as Blouberg and Musina Local Municipality of Limpopo province.

Gauteng:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and cool but warm in the north.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Cloudy and cold to cool with isolated showers and thundershowers except the south-western parts.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Cloudy and cool but warm in the south-west. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Fine and warm.

Free State:

Temperature: Fine and cool to warm.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Partly cloudy over the southern high ground at first, otherwise fine and cool to warm but hot in the north-west.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south-easterly.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Partly cloudy in the east at first, otherwise fine and warm to hot but cool along the south-coast.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate southerly to south-easterly at times between Lambert’s Bay and Table Bay, otherwise moderate to fresh reaching strong between Table Bay and Cape Agulhas at first spreading along the south-coast from the afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half Temperature: Cloudy along the coast with light rain east of Port Elizabeth, otherwise partly cloudy and cool, but fine in the north.

The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate easterly, becoming fresh in the evening.

The Eastern half Temperature: Cloudy along the coast and adjacent interior with light rain, otherwise partly cloudy and cool, but fine in the north.

The Eastern half Wind: The wind along the coast will be light south-westerly, becoming easterly to north-easterly in the afternoon

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Cloudy in the east otherwise partly cloudy and cool. Isolated showers and rain are expected in the east.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly to southerly becoming moderate easterly to north-easterly from the south in the afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate
