IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:

  1. Yellow level 2 warning: waves may result in difficult navigation at sea between Cape point and Cape Agulhas, subsiding in the afternoon

FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:

  1. Extremely high fire danger conditions expected over the central and southern parts of the Northern Cape, the north eastern parts of the Western Cape as well as the northern interior of the Eastern Cape.

Gauteng:

Temperature: Fine and cool.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Partly cloudy in the morning with fog patches on the escarpment, otherwise fine and cold to cool but warm in the Lowveld.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Cloudy in the morning with fog patches on the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cool but warm in the Lowveld.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Fine and cool.

Free State:

Temperature: Cold in the east, otherwise fine and cool.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Fine and cool, but cold in the southern interior where frost is expected in the morning.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate southerly to south-easterly.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Cloudy and cold in the west with isolated to scattered showers in the south west from the afternoon, otherwise fine and cool. Morning frost is expected over the interior.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh northerly to north westerly, but strong to near gale in the south west by the afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Low.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half Temperature: Warm in places over interior, otherwise fine and cool, becoming partly cloudy along the coast and adjacent interior from evening.

The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate north westerly, becoming moderate to fresh south westerly from late morning.

The Eastern half Temperature: Fine and cool, but warm in places in south west.

The Eastern half Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate north easterly, becoming north westerly from late morning.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Fine and cool, but warm in the north.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate north-easterly becoming fresh in the north at times.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.
