Transfer talk | Kaizer Chiefs’ next target identified and named!

Kaizer Chiefs are not done in the transfer market, and they are expected to at least add a striker before the closing of the transfer window on 31 August.

Amakhosi have bolstered every department but their strikeforce this season, and calls for the club to sign a striker have gained momentum.

Now, talk on social media is that Chiefs have identified Victor Letsoalo as their next target and possible signing for the current campaign.

Letsoalo’s absence from Royal AM’s opening match against Swallows FC last weekend raised a few eyebrows.

And that’s because Chiefs are reported to have already inquired about his availability from former Free State club Bloemfontein Celtic.

However, following the sale of the club’s PSL status to Royal AM, it’s unclear what the situation is with Letsoalo.

If Letsoalo doesn’t move to Royal AM as part of the Celtic sale then he’d be handed his clearance and be allowed join a club of his choice.

And Chiefs could pounce IF Letsoalo is available, especially on a free transfer given the attacker background.

Letsoalo, 28, is a proven goalscorer with 35 top-flight goals and eight assists in 132 competitive matches.

He’s also a full Bafana Bafana international who scored a hat-trick when the South Africans went all the way to lifting the 2021 Cosafa Cup without conceding a goal.
