Medical staff and patients robbed in a clinic in Eastern Cape
Police are investigating an armed robbery at a clinic in Qunta Street in New Brighton on Wednesday.
THREE ARMED MEN ROBBED THE MEDICAL STAFF AND PATIENTS
According to police spokesperson Captain Andre Beetge, three armed men entered the clinic at about 09:40.
“The men robbed the staff and patients of their cash and cellphones.”
Beetge said it is believed that the security guard, staff, and patients inside the clinic were pointed with a firearm and robbed while patients that were queuing outside were also robbed.
“The suspect inside then took one cellphone of a staff member and some cash. The suspects then fled the scene.”
He said no one was injured during the robbery.

“Police are investigating a case of business robbery is under investigation.

Meanwhile, in a horrific ordeal, a Joburg mother claims that the Helen Joseph Hospital staff ignored her critically ill daughter, ending in finding her dead in the same spot she had left her the day before.
Nqobile Dube, took her 26-year-old critically ill daughter Sichelesile to the hospital on Monday at 1 pm and was told she would be admitted at 9 pm that night.
But when she came back late on Tuesday afternoon, she found her daughter dead in her wheelchair at the same spot, with her mouth and eyes wide open.
