Kaizer Chiefs latest | Amakhosi say NO to top European-born defender!
Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly decided against signing top European-born defender and Sao Tome international Jardel Nazare.

Nazare had spent two weeks training with Chiefs in a bid to earn a deal during Gavin Hunt’s tenure.
However, he stopped training with Amakhosi soon after the arrival of Stuart Baxter who took over following the sacking of Hunt.

At the time, Nazare was reported to have done enough to earn a deal but Chiefs have since opted to sign Sifiso Hlanti and Sibusiso Mabiliso as their new left-backs.
Chiefs also have Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya although the diminutive left-back was transfer-listed over a week ago after struggling for game time last season.

Now, KickOff reports that Chiefs, in fact, will NOT rekindle their interest in Nazare as they feel they have enough depth in his position.
Furthermore, the acquisition of Austin Dube who is a centre-back but can also play as a left-back has all but ended Nazare’s chances of being signed by Chiefs.

Nazare is a highly-rated Portuguese defender who was last on the books of Georgian outfit FC Saburtalo Tbilisi.
He became a free agent towards the end of 2020, and Chiefs, under the leadership of Hunt, had hoped to capitalize on that.
