DStv Premiership 2021/22 title race is a 3-team battle say the ‘experts’

No surprise to learn that top of that short list are defending champions, Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Brazilians got the defence of their title off to a decent enough start with a 1-0 home win over last season’s runners-up, AmaZulu, but were held to a goalless draw away against Chippa United in their second match.

Mamelodi Sundowns are currently on offer at 12/10 at leading South African bookies, Hollywoodbets.

Amakhosi have the same number of points as Mamelodi Sundowns after two matches having drawn their opener away to TS Galaxy 0-0, before rebounding with a 2-1 win over Baroka FC.
The third and final team with any realistic hope of the DStv Premiership title are Orlando Pirates who can be backed at 5/1.
The Buccaneers, who are currently without a full-time coach, are also unbeaten this season, but are still searching for their first victory having been held to a home 2-2 draw by Stellenbosch FC and an away 0-0 stalemate against Marumo Gallants.
AmaZulu and SuperSport United are next best in the betting odds, but at a distance and unlikely 14/1.
Among the DStv Premiership relegation candidates, Hollywoodbets see that scrap as a four-team battle and are currently unable to split Royal AM, Maritzburg United, TS Galaxy and Marumo Gallants.
