IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:

  1. Orange level 6 warning for RAIN resulting in flooding is expected over City of Cape Town, Stellenbosch and Theewaterskloof (W.Cape) in the morning.
  2. Yellow level 4 warning for RAIN resulting in flooding is expected over the Saldanha, Swartland, Cape Winelands, Overstrand (W.Cape) in the morning.
  3. Yellow Level 4 Warning for WAVES resulting in difficulty in navigation at sea is expected between Saldanha Bay andCape Agulhas this afternoon subsiding in the morning.

Gauteng:

Temperature: Fine and cool.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Fine and cool but hot to very hot in the Lowveld..

Limpopo:

Temperature: Fine and warm but hot in the Lowveld and Limpopo Valley.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Fine and cool but warm in the far east.

Free State:

Temperature: Cold in the south, otherwise fine and cool.

Northern Cape:

East temperature: Partly cloudy and cold in the south where it will be windy, otherwise fine and cool.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong at first otherwise moderate north-westerly.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Cloudy and cold with light to moderate morning rain over the south-western parts spreading along the south coast, with isolated intermittent afternoon showers pushing in over the southwestern parts by the afternoon, otherwise cloudy to partly cloudy and cold to cool.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be strong to near gale force north-westerly to westerly along the south-western coastal regions at first otherwise moderate to strong westerly.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Low.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half Temperature: Cloudy with isolated morning showers along the coast and adjacent interior otherwise partly cloudy and cool.

The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south westerly.

The Eastern half Temperature: Partly cloudy and cool but cold over the northern high ground.

The Eastern half Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south westerly.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Fine and warm but cool in the south-west.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be gentle to moderate north-westerly north of Richards Bay at first, otherwise south-westerly becoming south-easterly in the afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.
