Orlando Pirates welcome twin Bophela starlets back to the club!

Orlando Pirates are set to welcome twin starlets Simo and Simiso Bophela back to the club after loan spells at the recently promoted Sekhukhune FC.

The 21-year-old set of twins rose to prominence in the Orlando Pirates reserve team and were subsequently sent out on loan to the GladAfrica Championship to gain experience.

It has since been confirmed that the Bophela duo will not remain at Sekhukhune for the upcoming campaign.

Simo, a lethal striker and Simiso, a pacey winger both began their journeys at the famed Augusto Palacios Academy before working their way up to the Orlando Pirates reserve side. After spending time out on loan in the GladAfrica Championship, their return back to Mayfair has since been confirmed.

“The Siya crew has it confirmed by Sekhukhune that the two players have been allowed to return to the Buccaneers without any plans of requesting an extension of the loan deal or to make attempts to sign them permanently.” – SoccerLaduma reported regarding the Orlando Pirates duo.

Orlando Pirates already have a number of under-23 youngsters that are slowly being integrated at the club which include the likes of Thabiso Monyane, Thabiso Sesane, Bongani Sam and Azola Tshobeni.

It remains to be seen whether the Bophela twins will be integrated into the Buccaneers’ first team or whether they’ll return to the reserve side to feature in the Multichoice Diski challenge.
