Kaizer Chiefs have taken major decisions regarding the futures of some of their aging stars!

The Amakhosi are preparing for the CAF Champions League final where they’ll face Al Ahly later this month but there’s a lot going on off the training pitch.

Veterans Itumeleng Khune and Willard Katsande are set to remain at the club for one more season while Bernard Parker’s future will be decided after the CAF Champions League final according to reports!

The trio have been with the Amakhosi through thick and thin and Stuart Baxter, along with the Kaizer Chiefs management have seemingly rewarded them for their loyalty.

According to local publication SoccerLaduma, the Amakhosi have reached an agreement with Zimbabwean midfielder Willard Katsande regarding a one-year contract extension meaning he’ll remain at the club until next season.

The same publication has also claimed that Itumeleng Khune will likely remain at the club for one more campaign as well while Bernard Parker’s future is yet to be decided.

“Indications then were that Katsande would be handed a one-year contract” the publication reported regarding Willard Katsande’s future at Kaizer Chiefs.

“And it’s now emerged that Kaizer Chiefs have moved swiftly to secure the 35-year-old’s signature and guarantee he will be remaining with the Glamour Boys for another season. This effectively means the player would have been at the club for more than a decade!”

Kaizer Chiefs are expected to make a number of new signings ahead of next season while many familiar faces are likely to see the exit door.

Bernard Parker, amongst others, has signed a one-month contract extension at Naturena. His future will only be decided after the CAF Champions League final which takes place on 17 July 2021.
