Springbok latest news: New bus sees world champions travel in style!

The Springboks are hard at work in camp in Bloemfontein this week as they ramp up preparations for their much-anticipated three-Test series against the British & Irish Lions

The Springboks, who have not played a single Test since winning the 2019 Rugby World Cup on 2 November of that year, will play two warm-up matches against Georgia (on 2 and 9 July) ahead of the British & Irish Lions series.

That series will get underway with the first Test at the Cape Town Stadium on 24 July, followed by Tests at the FNB Stadium on 31 July and 7 August.

Springbok coach Jacques Nienaber named a 46-man squad on Saturday which has assembled in Bloemfontein to begin training for their Georgian and British & Irish Lions visitors. 

On Monday the Springboks posted a video to their official Twitter page of their new set of wheels – an impressive newly-designed team bus.
