An outgoing Kaizer Chiefs striker is not short of options as more teams have come forward to try and sign him ahead of next season.

Lazarous Kambole is the man who’s wanted by at least three teams, TheSouthAfrican.com has gathered.

While Tanzanian giants Young Africans are strong favorites to lure Kambole from Chiefs, a source at Naturena has disclosed that there are two more teams vying for the striker’s services.

Sudanese outfits Azam and Al Hilal are the two sides willing to wrestle Young Africa for the services of the Zambia international.

“Kambole is in demand, that one I can tell you,” the source told TheSouthAfrican.com.

“Some teams rate him highly, and I can tell you that Azam and Al Hilal are also interested in the player,” said the source.

Young Africans were last week reported to have sent their delegates to Naturena to seal the deal for Kambole to join them.

However, TheSouthAfrican.com is led to believe that Azam were actually the first team to talk to Chiefs about Kambole when the Soweto giants were in Tanzania to play Simba SC.

“Azam were the first team to show interest in Kambole, and they spoke to the management when the club was in Tanzania for the Simba match,” concluded the source.

Azam’s interest in Kambole stems from the fact that their coach, George Lwandamina, knows his strengths as he worked with the Zambian attacker at ZESCO.

Kambole has had two frustrating seasons with Chiefs as he has netted just once in 39 competitive matches since his arrival in 2019.

He still has a year left on his current deal with the Glamour Boys.
