Pitso Mosimane clinches FOURTH title with Al Ahly!
Pitso Mosimane has lifted his FOURTH trophy with Al Ahly following his team’s 2-0 win over RS Berkane in the CAF Super Cup on Friday night.
Al Ahly and Berkane met in the CAF Super Cup as African champions following their CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup triumphs respectively.

And this was Mosimane’s second time in the CAF Super Cup after appearing with former club Mamelodi Sundowns in 2017.
Al Ahly’s two goals against Berkane came in the second half after both sides had failed to score in the first 45 minutes of the encounter.

They opened the scoring through Mohamed Sherif‘s left-footed finish in the 57th minute before Salah Mohsen sealed the deal with Al Ahly’s second eight minutes from time.
And the scoreline ensured that Mosimane and charges lifted the trophy which was Al Ahly’s fourth since the South African coach joined them in November 2020.

Mosimane’s first trophy was the Egyptian Premier League although Al Ahly had already secured the title when the Kagiso-born mentor arrived.
Mosimane would then bag the Egyptian Cup before lifting the 2020 CAF Champions League to make it three trophies with Al Ahly.

He has now added a fourth title, and this latest success has undoubtedly eased the pressure on him after reports of Al Ahly planning to fire him gained momentum two weeks ago.
