Kaizer Chiefs visit East Africa in CAFCL for the first time in 28 years!
Kaizer Chiefs are in Tanzania to face Simba SC in the second leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-final match on Saturday.

Kick-off in Dar es Salaam is at 15:00 SA time.
This is Amakhosi’s first visit to East Africa in the CAF Champions League in almost three decades.

The last time Chiefs visited East Africa in the same competition was in March 1993, soon after winning the 1992 league title in South Africa.
In 1993, Chiefs were pitted against Rwandan side Kiyovu Sports in the first leg of the first round of the CAF Champions League.

Amakhosi won 4-2 in Kigali before wrapping up the round with a resounding 5-1 win at home to seal a 9-3 aggregate win and a passage into the second round.
And this alone, means Chiefs can be hopeful of securing their spot in the semi-finals to be amongst the best four teams on the Africa continent in 2021.

As things stand, Chiefs hold a 4-0 aggregate lead over Simba going into the return leg in Dar es Salaam.
