Raja Casablanca were 4-0 up at halft-ime with Malango scoring a brace and Wardi, and Soufiane Rafimi netting as well.

Pirates should have taken the lead six minutes into the encounter when Siphesihle Ndlovu was sent clear on goal by Deon Hotto.

However, the midfielder failed to capitalize on the chance as he could not find the back of the net.

Pirates were made to pay the price two minutes later as Ben Malango headed home to break the deadlock from inside the box.

It was soon 2-0 to Raja as El Wardi fired past Wayne Sandilands with a first-time strike as the Pirates defence were caught in sixes and sevens.

Rahimi ensured the game was safe for Raja as he ran from his own half to eventually dribble past Sandilands to make it 3-0 to the home side in the 30th minute.

Malango made it 4-0 with sublime finish in the 35th minute to put the game beyond Pirates control.

Josef Zinnbauer needed to make changes in an attempt to come back from the setback, and he did that by introducing Nkanyiso Zungu and Gabadinho Mhango.

Mhango shook things upfront immediately after his introduction as he forced Raja goalkeeper Anas Zniti into a save.

The Pirates ship looked steady as the second half went by and what was impressive was how their defence didn’t allow Raja enough spaces to shoot.

However, Pirates didn’t create clear-cut goalscoring chances to mount a serious comeback.

Ultimately, Raja ran 5-1 aggregate winners to book their place in the semi-finals.
