  1. EXTREMELY HIGH FIRE DANGER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OVER THE BEAUFORT WEST IN THE WESTERN CAPE AND KHAI-MA MUNICIPALITIES IN THE NORTHERN CAPE.

Gauteng:

Temperature: Cloudy to partly cloudy and warm with scattered late afternoon showers and thundershowers.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Morning fog and drizzle along the escarpment were it will be cool, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered over the Highveld.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the south-west.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Cloudy in the extreme east at first, otherwise fine and warm to hot becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon with isolated isolated thundershowers, but scattered in the east.

Free State:

Temperature: Cloudy in the extreme north-east at first with fog patches, otherwise fine and warm becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon with isolated thundershowers, but scattered in the extreme north-east.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Cloudy and cool at first, otherwise fine and hot becoming partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers in the extreme east in the afternoon.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be strong south-easterly

Western Cape:

Temperature: Cloudy to partly cloudy over the interior and the south coast in the morning, otherwise fine and warm to hot but cool along the coastal towns.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly, but light to moderate westerly to south-westerly along the south coast in the morning. It will become strong along the west coast by the evening.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.

Eastern Cape:

The Western halfTemperature: Fine and warm to hot but cool along the coast becoming cloudy along the coast and adjacent interior by afternoon.

The Western Half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south westerly.

The Eastern halfTemperature: Cloudy in places at first otherwise fine and warm but hot in the north west, becoming cloudy with isolated afternoon thundershowers in the east.

The Eastern halfWind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north-easterly becoming moderate to fresh south-westerly by afternoon.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Morning fog patches over the interior otherwise partly cloudy and warm but hot in places in the north. Isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers are expected.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be Moderate to fresh north-easterly.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.
