IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:
1.Yellow (L2) warning for severe thunderstorms that can result in possible hail leading to localized damage to vehicles, damaging winds and heavy downpours that may result in localized flooding with damage in the infrastructure and settlements both formal and informal as well as localized injuries due to flying debris over the extreme east of North West, north-eastern Free State, Gauteng, southern Highveld of Mpumalanga as well as northern and north-western parts of KwaZulu-Natal.

Gauteng:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with scattered afternoon thundershowers.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate.
Mpumalanga:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm to hot but very hot in the Lowveld. Isolated afternoon thundershowers are expected but scattered in the Highveld areas.
Limpopo:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm to hot but very hot in places with isolated afternoon thundershowers but scattered in the extreme south.
North-West Province:
Temperature: Fine and warm to hot becoming partly cloudy with isolated afternoon thundershowers in the east but scattered in the extreme east.
Free State:
Temperature: Fine and warm to hot becoming partly cloudy with isolated afternoon. aThundershowers in the east and central parts but scattered in the extreme east and north-east.
Northern Cape:
Temperature: Fine and warm but hot in places over the interior. It will become partly cloudy in the north-eastern interior in the afternoon.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north-westerly becoming fresh to strong southerly to southeasterly by the afternoon.
Western Cape:
Temperature: Fine and warm over the Central Karoo, otherwise cloudy to partly cloudy with isolated showers and rain along the south western parts, spreading INTO along the south coast by the evening.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north-westerly north of Cape Columbine until late morning, otherwise fresh to strong north-westerly becoming south-westerly by the early afternoon.

Eastern Cape:
The Western half – Temperature: Cloudy and warm, but cool along the coast, where isolated showers and rain are expected extending into the adjacent interior.
The Western Half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be strong south westerly.
The Eastern half – Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm but cloudy and cool south of the escarpment, with isolated showers and rain.
The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh south westerly.
Kwazulu-Natal:
Temperature: Partly cloudy along the coast, otherwise fine and hot to very hot but extremely hot in the north-east. It will become cloudy with isolated isolated afternoon thundershowers but scattered in the north-west and northern parts.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be Moderate north-easterly north of Richards Bay, otherwise moderate southerly to south-westerly spreading northwards.
