TTM confirm the release of former Orlando Pirates duo

Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) have released former Orlando Pirates teammates, Oupa Manyisa and Joseph Molangoane before either player could take the field in the club’s colours.

The duo were the first signings announced by the Venda-based outfit prior to their maiden top-flight campaign, with Manyisa joining from Mamelodi Sundowns, while Molangoane resurfaced at the club after his release from Kaizer Chiefs.

More player exits at TTM

In what has become quite the familiar phenomenon, the pair have left without even kicking a ball in anger.

They, along with ex-Chiefs striker Gustavo Paez, make up the list of three released players issued by the club and all did not feature in the three opening fixtures of the new season.

Other players who left TTM soon after signing on the dotted line are former Pirates striker Augustine Mulenga, who has since joined AmaZulu, as well as defender Brian Onyango, who is now a Sundowns player.

However, the club still has quality players in its ranks, with the likes of Mogakolodi Ngele and Justin Shonga among those registered for the season.

TTM began life in the top-flight with 3-2 defeat to Supersport United in the MTN 8 quarterfinals, before registering two league draws, against fellow newcomers TS Galaxy and defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns, respectively.

Their next outing is at home to the newly-promoted Moroka Swallows, who have already gotten off the mark with a win against Bloemfontein Celtic on the return to the first tier of South African football.
