Telkom Knockout

Mamelodi Sundowns lifted their second Telkom Knockout title after coming from behind to beat Maritzburg United 2-1 at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.

Judas Moseamedi opened the scoring six minutes before the break, but Maritzburg’s lead was only brief as Uruguayan striker Mauricio Affonso hit back in the 54th minute.

The Sundowns frontman completed his brace 20 minutes later, making his side the only team to have won the Telkom Knockout twice since the tournament’s rebrand.
