Anthony Joshua vs Andy Ruiz Jr: How to watch the fight in SA
Boxing fans in South Africa need not despair as one of the calendar’s most anticipated events will be broadcast locally.
British superstar Anthony Joshua and Mexico’s Andy Ruiz Jr slug it out for the IBF, WBO and WBA heavyweight title in a rematch of their bout earlier in the year.

Joshua, who was the world heavyweight champion, relinquished the title when he was pummeled by Ruiz in June.
It was the Englishman’s first defeat in a career that has spanned over 20 fights.
Rights for the bout, which takes place in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia were secured by Fight Sports, a CSI-owned channel, which will broadcast the fight in Africa.
The channel is available on ETV’s Openview pay satellite TV platform.
Fight Sports went live on Openview earlier in the month and can be accessed on channel 115.
“Fight Sports adds to our endeavor to bring a variety of sports to the South African public for free. As our platform continues to grow, we trust that the Fight Sports channel will add further entertainment value,” says eMedia Investments COO Antonio Lee.

Joshua in search of redemption
Anthony Joshua was stunned by the less fancied Mexican, Andy Ruiz, who handed him a thorough klap in June.
Almost six months to the day, they are set to take to the ring again, contesting the WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight title.
The Englishman’s defeat blew the division wide open, and he is confident of his chances against Ruiz.
“I only needed 16 fights to become champion of the world, I have always been a fighter,” Joshua says.
“I have not been protected, Rob has not had me sparring anyone with one arm behind their back.”
