Warnings:
Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the north-eastern parts of the Northern Cape and the western parts of the North West Province.
Heavy rainfall leading to localised flooding is expected over the Overberg and Eden district municipalities in the Western Cape, Kou-Kamma and Kouga local municipalities in the Eastern Cape, as well as Ugu and Ethekwini district municipalities in KwaZulu-Natal.
Watches:
Severe thunderstorms are expected in places over the eastern parts of the Eastern Cape, eastern and central Free State and North-West Province, and the southern highveld of Mpumalanga, as well as the KwaZulu-Natal province.

Weather forecast and UV index for all provinces

Gauteng: Cloudy in the morning, becoming partly cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers.
UVB sunburn index: Moderate.
Mpumalanga: Morning fog patches over the escarpment, otherwise cloudy and cool to warm with scattered showers and thundershowers but widespread in south east
Limpopo: Morning fog patches over the escarpment, otherwise cloudy and warm. Scattered showers and thundershowers but isolated in the north-east.
North-West Province: Cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers but partly cloudy and hot in the west with isolated thundershowers.
Free State: Cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers but partly cloudy and hot in the west with isolated thundershowers.
Northern Cape: Cloudy with morning fog in the west otherwise fine and cool to warm. It will become partly cloudy in the east with isolated showers and thundershowers in the afternoon. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh northerly to north-westerly.
Western Cape: Morning light drizzle along the west coast at first, otherwise cloudy and cool, becoming partly cloudy and cool to warm in places with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers over the eastern parts of the province. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-westerly north of Cape Columbine otherwise strong south-easterly to easterly.
UVB index: High.
Western half of the Eastern Cape: Cool with isolated morning showers and rain in the south east, otherwise cloudy and warm with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers. The wind along the coast will be Strong easterly, reaching near gale force in places in the afternoon.
Eastern half of the Eastern Cape: Cloudy and cool with scattered showers and thundershowers, but isolated in the north west where it will be warm. The wind along the coast will be Strong north easterly, reaching near gale force in places in the south in the afternoon.
KwaZulu-Natal: Cloudy and cool but warm in places in the north with widespread showers and thundershowers. The wind along the coast will be Moderate to to fresh easterly to north-easterly.
UVB index: Low
