Gavin Hunt CONFIRMS his plans for the Christmas break
Gavin Hunt says he plans to enjoy the upcoming festive break after his brief spell at Chippa United ended – and has no plans for the immediate future.

Since Soweto giants Orlando Pirates were hammered 4-1 last Friday by Mamelodi Sundowns, there has been increased speculation linking Hunt to the head coaching position at the Buccaneers.

However, in an interview with TimesLIVE, Hunt said he was unaware of any Orlando Pirates approach.
“I’m reading a lot about me in the papers, but not paying any attention,” Hunt was quoted as saying.
Hunt added that his immediate plans were to enjoy a seaside holiday on the Garden Route, to get fit and relax.

Gavin Hunt, now 57, has won South Africa’s top-flight PSL title four times as a coach.
At SuperSport United he clinched the title in three consecutive seasons – in 2007/08, 2008/09 and 2009/10 – and won again in the 2016/17 season with Bidvest Wits.
Chippa United were Gavin Hunt’s 8th club as a coach
Hunt has the runaway record of 910 matches as a coach from the time he won promotion with Seven Stars in 1998.
Chippa United was his eighth club as a coach.
The previous seven were: Seven Stars, Hellenic, Black Leopards, Moroka Swallows, SuperSport United, Bidvest Wits and Kaizer Chiefs.
Hunt made over 300 appearances in all competitions as a defender for Hellenic during his playing days.
