TRAGEDY strikes as Jannie du Plessis’ 1-year-old son drowns in family swimming pool
Tragedy has struck the family of Springbok prop Jannie du Plessis after his son drowned in their swimming pool on Tuesday.

The incident took place on Du Plessis’ 39th birthday and was reported on social media by another Springbok front-ranker, Toks van der Linde.

Jannie du Plessis, who is a qualified medical doctor, played 70 Tests for the Springboks between 2007 and 2015.
