  1. Extremely high fire danger conditions expected over the northern and eastern parts of the Northern Cape, western parts of the Free State and North west, the north eastern parts of the Western Cape as well as the north western parts of the Easter Cape.

Temperature and UBV forecast

Gauteng:

Temperature: Fine and warm becoming partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers in the afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very high.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm, but cool over the highveld. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected in the afternoon.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers except in the north.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Fine and warm to hot, becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon, with isolated thundershowers except in the east.

Free State:

Temperature: Fine and warm to hot, becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon, with isolated thundershowers except in the west.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Morning fog patches along the coast where it will be cool, otherwise fine and warm to hot, becoming partly cloudy in the northern and eastern parts by the evening, with isolated thundershowers in the north eastern parts.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Cloudy along the south coast with light rain, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm becoming fine in the northern parts in the afternoon.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-westerly to westerly becoming moderate south-westerly to southerly in the afternoon. It will become light south-easterly along the south coast from evening.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very high.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm to hot, becoming cloudy with light rain along the coast in the evening.

The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate north easterly, becoming fresh south easterly from late morning.

The Eastern half Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm to hot, becoming cloudy with light rain along the coast in the evening.

The Eastern half Wind: The wind along the coast will be Moderate to fresh north easterly.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Cloudy with morning fog patches over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be Moderate south-westerly to southerly becoming easterly to north-easterly in the afternoon
