Temperature and UBV forecast

Gauteng:

Temperature: Fine and warm to hot, becoming partly cloudy with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with scattered afternoon showers and thundershowers but isolated in the east.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot but very hot in the Western Bushveld. Isolated afternoon thunderstorms are expected in the southwest.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Fine and hot, becoming partly cloudy in the extreme east with afternoon thundershowers.

Free State:

Temperature: Fine and warm to hot, becoming partly cloudy in the east with afternoon thundershowers.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Partly cloudy over the southern high ground in the morning, otherwise fine and warm to hot in the north, but cool along the coast.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate southerly to south-easterly, becoming fresh in the afternoon.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Cloudy in the extreme south-west where it will be cool with morning drizzle over the Peninsula, otherwise fine and warm, becoming partly cloudy by the afternoon.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate northerly to north-westerly, becoming light south-westerly from the
evening.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very high.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half Temperature: Cloudy with fog in places in the south east in the morning and evening, otherwise fine and warm to hot, but cool along the coast.

The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be Light northerly early morning and evening, otherwise light to moderate southwesterly.

The Eastern half Temperature: Cloudy with fog patches in places, over the interior in the morning, otherwise fine and warm, but partly cloudy in places along the coast, becoming cloudy in the afternoon, spreading to the interior in the evening.

The Eastern half Wind: The wind along the coast will be Light northwesterly early morning, otherwise light to moderate southwesterly, becoming northeasterly in the evening.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Morning fog over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and warm but hot in places in the north. It will become cloudy in the afternoon with isolated afternoon thundershowers in the north.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate north-easterly becoming fresh in the afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very high.
